Meet Speaker Brad Wilson
Brad R. Wilson
Brad Wilson has represented Utah’s 15th district for nearly a decade and currently serves as Speaker of the House, a position he has held since 2019. During his service in the legislature, he has championed policies to make Utah one of the strongest, most diverse and most business friendly in the nation.
Off Capitol Hill, Speaker Wilson is the president and CEO of Destination Homes, a residential homebuilder honored as the Northern Wasatch Home Builder of the Year. Under his leadership, the company earned Utah Best of State honors in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Speaker Wilson earned a business degree from Weber State University and is a graduate of the College of Financial Planning. In 2015, he was nominated as the Weber State Alumnus of the Year.
Speaker Wilson, his wife Jeni and their three children live in Kaysville.
Brad Wilson is the President and CEO of Destination Homes, a residential homebuilder in Utah, and leader in community and home design with high customer loyalty. In 2003, Destination Homes was recognized as the Northern Wasatch Home Builder of the Year and Utah Best of State recipient in 2014, 2015, and 2016. Prior to Destination Homes, Mr. Wilson was Vice President with American Express Financial Advisors with responsibility for Utah operations.
Mr. Wilson is a member of the Utah Chapter of the Young President’s Organization. He has served as the Chair of the Davis Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Chair of the Davis Economic Advisory Council, and board chair of the Children’s Aid Society of Utah. He now serves on the National Advisory Council for Weber State University, World Trade Center of Utah Board, Walker Institute Board, Utah Sports Commission Board, and the Utah Fund of Funds Board. He has a business degree from Weber State University and is a graduate of the College of Financial Planning. In 2015, Mr. Wilson was nominated as the Weber State Alumnus of the Year.
Mr. Wilson was elected to the Utah House of Representatives in 2010. He currently serves as Speaker of the House, a position to which he was elected by his peers in November 2018. As Speaker, he leads the 75 members of the Utah House and directs statewide policy projects aimed at bettering the lives of Utah citizens.
Speaker Wilson is a Davis County native. He and his wife Jeni have three children. They reside in Kaysville, Utah.
