Heidi Mathews would you take a moment to read the comments under Lt Governor’s site under ‘ lets talk about Suide.
I would like to see a program well cover for crisis situations, bullied kids need support and having the one person they trust with them is one of the needs.
I would love for all the schools in Utah to have a buddie program available for kids like Kai.
I was a peer tutor at Bingham my last year in high school for Special Education and we made those kids feel protected, loved and cool.
Nothing like it this days, I promise to sign my up to start if it happens, we have talked about it.
I love my son and I almost lost him last month because of bullying and his doctor believe that Zolof up to 100mg was the answer, I am against medication but I said I would try for 3 month, he disagree that the medication was killing my son as he went through and over all the warnings side effects but he insisted would not take a no for an answer, I asked my attorney what my rights were because even after the suicide attempt he needed a second opinion but it was hell trying to find a psychiatrist to see him because of age, insurance not cover under, etc., my attorney didn’t answer my question and I didn’t have money to keep calling him, I was taking him off the medication slowly against his doctor’s ok because he didn’t stand to help me, he had his nurse supervisor torture me giving me numbers to call and it was so challenging for me to repeat myself as I was turn down and I kept crying on every call, I was mad, afraid in so many ways, I lost my job unfairly.
I had to prove to the workforce why I can’t leave my son alone to start working and begged to keep him insure.
I am afraid for my baby boy and honestly it lost a long time until I feel that he is safe.
I have reach out to a lot of you and hopefully something gets done.
    Thank You.

    My son is Kai Morrison.
